College is characterized by multifarious and multidimensional activities. Since its establishment in 1963 it has endeavored in the flourishing and flowering of such activities.

Navgujarat Commerce College, which was renamed later on 17th August 1997, as Principal M.C. Shah Commerce College, was established by Vidhyabhavan Trust in 1963, with the vision and lofty aim to provide excellence in commerce, management and professional education, to meet the growing demands of industries, institutions, organizations, and corporate in the future, and impart benefits in particular, to the middle class and in general to the society with its slogan "Earning while Learning".

In the span of 47 years the college has gained ascendancy in academic standards and social recognition. In recognition of its commendable standard and academic administration in obtaining 100% results.
